Recommended by a friend that lives in the area and it didn’t disappoint. Excellent coffee and the food was spectacular. Met the owner who told us they just started opening for dinner. Will hopefully get time to come back and try!

The Ugly Cook is a great spot along the main road, that's incredibly popular with locals, and good enough to draw people from further afield. The food here is fantastic. The hangover burger in particular is both delicious and great value for money. I couldn't finish it and hated leaving any because it was that good! The coffee was delicious, and had a lovely flavour throughout. It's a shame there was no latte art, else this would have been absolutely perfect. Staff were friendly. There were only limited highchairs available, so we once had to go elsewhere as we couldn't get by without one. There is plenty of street parking available right outside and in the local area. Price wise everything was reasonable, inkeeping with the local area. We'll be back!

Freshly renovated cafe. Good quality of coffee, nice spot for breakfast. Breaks wraps are second to none. Today was my first time dining in for lunch. Burgers were too big and generous. I wish I pick a kids size instead. Generously filed with bacon and extra large patty. Fast service as well as reasonably priced. Why not to stop and try it as you would never be disappointed?

The best food and coffee ever in the Shire area! We love Chef Costa’s delicious food. He always surprises us with his special recipes. Our family loves to come to the ugly cook for breakfast and brunch! We also love Dora’s warm and welcoming services

I’ve only been once and am already planning my next 300 visits - wow! Not only are the staff wonderful and the vibes welcoming, the food is insanely delicious I’m going back for the legendary pancakes next time!
